A simple, clean, put-together outfit is now being labeled as “anti Black.” This mindset irritates me because whenever Black people try to elevate our image, present ourselves well, or simply enjoy looking polished, there is always a group trying to drag us back into the stereotype of being loud, sloppy, or “ghetto.”

Not everything is a racial attack. Sometimes people just want to look good, evolve, and represent themselves in a way that brings pride instead of embarrassment.
