Republicans are spending money to boost Jasmine Crockett into the Texas Senate race. Why? Because they think they can beat her. And when she loses, I’m telling you right now — they’re going to blame Black men.
They did it with Stacey Abrams. They did it with Kamala Harris. And they’ll do it with Jasmine Crockett.
But the data tells a different story. Pew Research data shows Black Americans overwhelmingly vote Democrat. When a Black Democrat is on the ticket, Black voters show up. Twice as many Black people will vote for Crockett as white men. The real deciding factor? White women. But Democrats will never say that because they can’t afford to alienate the hand that feeds them.
Meanwhile, Crockett is raising alarms about 32 ICE detention deaths while 178 people died in Texas prisons alone — and between 6,000 and 10,000 U.S. citizens die in American prisons and penitentiaries annually. Where’s that energy?
The only reason most people know Jasmine Crockett’s name is because Trump said it. Then came the Jimmy Kimmel tour, the Jimmy Fallon appearance, the media spotlight. That’s not a campaign built on earned credibility — that’s momentum built on a viral moment.
